You may not immediately recognize the name Tony Zanlungo, but there’s a good chance you’d know his face. The very funny character actor is best known for his work on the History Channel’s hot, new reality TV show Pawn Stars.

He’s recently found himself getting his fair share of TV exposure. I spoke to Zanlungo about his new role on the Doritos and Pepsi MAX’s Crash the Super Bowl commercial, Dersey Shore. It is a hilarious parody of the TV show, Jersey Shore. You can also see his work on Auctioneer$, Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel, and just about everything else.

MMG: You do play a lot of these supporting roles. Would a starring role appeal to you, or is there something you like about being a bit on the side?

Tony: Certainly a starring role would appeal to me, but I love to play what I’ve gotten to play. I have been lucky, with guest roles and that whole ensemble. I love coming in and contributing to the overall mix. I read a lot of sitcoms and I don’t want to play the boring neighbor with dumb problems. Sometimes it’s a lot more fun to play the uptight business man or the customer that makes you laugh.
